Personally boys, I could care less about the NBA. It is my least favorite of all sports to watch, although I love the college game.

Personally I couldn't care less about the sonics or the NBA for that matter, but, if you want to blame someone for the Sonics fiasco, try Howard Shultz. I'm sure that if the Ackerly's had known he was going to turn around and sell the team to the highest bidder 3 years after buying it ( not sure on the time line but he didn't own the team much longer than that) , they never would have sold it to him in the first place. As I recall, they waited patiently to find a local buyer for the team when they sold it to Mr. Starbucks. If Sonic fans need someone to hate, thats where I would place the blame!

The Sonics Empty The Sonics

Post by Pill Thu Jul 03, 2008 2:19 am

I'd like to hear in here also what people think. I'm not sick that this version of the Sonics have left. I am concerned that there may not be "The Sonics" for the foreseeable future. What if the City of Seattle and all their neo-socialist "earthy" constituents never get their shit together? What if the NBA just doesn't allow another franchise? I am glad they kept the name and all related branding and I think they kept the "history". They actually could come back as a fresh new underdog. Could be good, but I can't believe what the citizens of the city of Seattle have done. I've been gone almost 20 years, and I understand that the population of that city today looks nothing like what it was when I left. But Damn! No Supersonics! Are you f'n kidding me?
